The space
This luxury villa rental consists of four spacious bedrooms, kitchen, living room and four bathrooms. On the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen with electric appliances necessary for all your cooking needs. It boasts an open plan living room with a fireplace and peaceful seating area. Also located on the ground floor one spacious bedroom with a double bed and two bathrooms. On the upper floor there are two more bedrooms with two single beds each (can be converted into a king-size bed) and a spacious bathroom with hydromassage. On the last floor, there is a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed and a bathroom with a shower.

Location

The village Kompitsi spreads along the top of a range of hills with a wonderful view, just a few kilometers in the west of the city of Corfu. The most significant sight of this village is the mansion of the Kompitsi family, nobles of the 18th century from which the village got its name. This «Palace», which is today a private residency, is an edifice’s plan in the shape of a Π, with simple but elegant architecture which refers to a renaissance monastery with arches around its large, internal yard. In the northern side of the mansion stands the church of Agioi Apostoloi, with its tall bell-tower which resembles the one of Agios Spyridoans in the Old City.

Another significant sight in Kompitsi is the impressive, restored, Venetian fountain with monumental character, with very interesting baroque architecture from which the village was supplied with water in the past.

Kompitsi, with its approximately 750 residents, offers a panoramic aspect of the northern, mountainous Corfu, of Pelekas  and of the Lagoon of Chalikiopoulos  and also of the mountain of Agioi Deka . Another one of its assets, is its natural environment with its rich flora, as just outside the village is situated a beautiful forest with pine and chestnut trees, an ideal location for wandering on foot or by bicycle amongst the lush vegetation and the wildflowers.

Do not forget to visit the Cultural Center in Kompitsi where, you will see a rare collection of about 3.000 miniature cars, while just a little bit further you can enjoy your coffee in the traditional coffee shop.
